Impulse has been together
since June of 2006. Since the get-go, it’s
been a musical whirlwind of activity with
weekly rehearsals, lots of new music, and
recent chorus auditions. Impulse plans to
compete at the 2007 Regional contest in
Colorado Springs and is looking forward
to starting their musical journey on the
contest stage.
Andrea Hass (bass) is an
active member of Velvet Hills Chorus. Andrea
is proud to have earned a 5th place regional
quartet medal in 2005 singing with her past
quartet Cool Change. She lives in Colorado
Springs with her husband Leon. She has two
beautiful grown daughters, Heather and Emilie,
both are members of Velvet Hills Chorus.
She’s the financial manager of a nutritional
counseling and research office.
Monica Kastman (lead) is
an active member of Skyline Chorus. She
(and baritone Heather) enjoyed success with
Ms.Behavin’, her previous quartet,
including 2002 Region 8 championship, 2003
9th place SAI international finalist and
was featured as the 2004 International Barbershop
Symposium women’s quartet in St. Petersburg,
Russia. Monica lives in Arvada with her
husband Doug and her 2 dogs, MaiTai and
Oscar. She works as a nurse at an infusion
clinic.
Danette Kientz (tenor) and
is an active member of Skyline Chorus. She
has enjoyed 3 championships in past Region
8 quartet contests, including most recently
in 2005 with her previous quartet Vocal
Legacy. She lives in Littleton with her
husband Tom and her 3 beautiful children,
Danika, Cameron and Carson. She has two
adult sons, Matt and Michael. She works
in real estate as a ‘flipper’,
buying, remodeling and selling homes.
Heather Tavel (baritone)
is an active member of Skyline Chorus. She
sang previously in Ms.Behavin’ (with
Monica), sharing in the accomplishments
of that quartet. Heather brings a variety
of musical experience to the group with
her past involvement in musical theater
and her concert piano training. Heather
lives in Parker with her husband Luis and
her three chihuahuas, Elvis, George and
Gracie. She works in analytic data support
for Kaiser Permanente.
There is a lot of exciting
music in the near future for Impulse. We
