Starlet is thrilled to be Skyline's YWIH quartet. They are four college students bringing a wide variety of musical knowledge to the quartet giving a fresh new flavor to the barbershop sound. Just recently, Starlet competed at the International Education Symposium in the Rising Star contest for the first time, and were ecstatic to have taken 3rd Place! They look forward to what the future has in store for them.

Starlet is:

Kaly Warner (Tenor)- Kaly is in her second year at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a Psychology major with a minor in Philosophy. Don't let that fool you though; she has an impressive musical background including All State Choir and as well as leading roles in her high school musicals such as "Les Miserables." She has sung in two previous quartets, her first being Fourté with lead, Neyla Pekarek. Her second quartet, Tag, You're It!, placed first in the high school competition in 2005. Kaly is not currently singing with the chorus, but is delighted to be singing with Starlet.

Neyla Pekarek (Lead)- Neyla joined Skyline in July of 2005, and she couldn't be more ecstatic. She is currently in her third year up at the University of Northern Colorado studying Music Education. Neyla brings a unique quality to the group including a heavy musical theatre background and a jazz background as well. She was a member of both the Colorado All State Choir, as well as the Colorado All State Jazz Choir in 2004 where she met bass, Taylor O'Donnell. She began her barbershop background at age 15 when her high school choir director, Darin Drown taught her the first tag she ever learned. Clearly, she was hooked.

Becky Maybury (Baritone)- Not much needs to be said here! Becky, the daughter of Vickie Maybury, is obviously no stranger to barbershop. She has sung in numerous quartets, one being a YWIH quartet who competed at IES, and one who competed on the International Stage! All before she reached her 21st birthday... Becky is currently in her fourth year at the University of Colorado at Boulder studying Psychology and hopes to become a vetrinarian. She brings incredible music knowlegde to the quartet as well as great leadership skills.

Taylor O'Donnell (Bass)- Starlet is overjoyed to have found Taylor. She has never sung barbershop before, but you would never know it with her huge resonant bass sound. Taylor is a Vocal Performance major at the University of Northern Colorado. She is primarily a jazz vocalist and has worked with many well known jazz groups such as The New York Voices and M-Pact. She was a member of both All State Choir and the All State Jazz Choir for two consecutive years, and she studied for many years under Lila Mori unaware that Lila was a Sweet Adeline! Taylor is not a member of Skyline right now, but is enjoying her time with Star.
